Google Tackles Adwords Resellers

Search around online for ‘Adwords services’ and you’re bound to come across sites that offer PPC management for discount prices…because they have a special relationship with Google!

Well, these third party Adwords services had better watch out because Google is on the prowl and will begin actively investigating their practices from the 1st April. Google has confirmed that Adwords resellers must provide metrics on costs, CTRs and impressions on a monthly basis.

The argument usually runs along the lines of the following and clients are often left in the dark:

  • Permanent first place listings over the duration of the contract
  • 24/7 listing
  • ‘buy in bulk’ keyword offers
